For more than 30 years, Dr. Scott Taylor has been investigating the phenomenon of near-death experiences. Since his first-hand experience with a shared NDE in 1981, he has dedicated his life to learning about other people’s experiences and spreading awareness.
Scott is well-known in the field of NDE studies as a researcher and speaker. Near-Death Experiences: Discovering and Living in Unity was the title of his doctoral dissertation.
Serving as the Executive Director of the Monroe Institute for more than 30 years, Dr. Taylor is a highly qualified trainer. He is the creator and narrator of the wildly popular Into the Light series. In addition, he is the inventor and facilitator of the six-day NDE Intensive offered by Monroe Institute, which explores different states of consciousness by following the paths left by NDErs.
He moderates the annual meeting of the International Association for Near-Death Studies, where he was a board member.
Scott has also served as an instructor and adviser for small businesses. He is a former CEO and seasoned company leader with expertise in a wide range of business and leadership challenges.
He received his doctorate in education from University of St. Thomas and his MBA from Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University. He also graduated from the New Seminary with a degree in spiritual counseling.
Scott loves everything Scottish and the game of curling when he’s not lost in NDEs. He made a commitment to wear a kilt every day of 2014 in honor of his 60th birthday.
